I was told to come to locanda del porto from locals. I managed to visit on my last day of my trip. It was an experience! A reason to visit Italy once again. Fresh ingredients together with a great atmosphere and great service. I started with a raw cuttlefish and raw crayfish. Simply amazing. Cold and served with lemon. A perfect pair for white wine. I continued with a spaghetti with pepper and shrimp. Again the taste was phenomenal. Finished with a crema catalana and an espresso. What an experience. If you visit the area you have to eat there.

Had a wonderful lunch at La Locanda - friendly and very professional from the moment we walked in. Beautifully set tables. Lovely shady alley with a glimpse of the sea. We shared a tuna tartare (would have loved sharper citrusy flavours with it, but the quality of fish was great), swordfish fish pasta (very nice) and a baked bream (super juicy and fresh). Also had coffees and a tiramisu (homemade). The texture and flavour of the tiramisu was spot on. Loved everything.

Late night dinner and was pleasantly suprised! Walked past all of the main “touristy” restaurants along the water and none of them looked good. Until we came across this one in and ally way and thought we would try it out! Every single dish was delicious and cooked to perfection! We had the tuna, seafood pasta, chicken and tempura seafood.

Un gioiello nel cuore di Brindisi! (A gem in the heart of Brindisi!) … perhaps the best meal we’ve had in 8 days throughout Italy. The Purple Potato Gnocchetti with Clams and Bottarga was unique, tasty and excellent and the pizza (spinach, tomato and incredibly fresh mozzarella) was cooked to perfection. If we lived here I’d be a regular (and weigh 300 pounds). The wine selection is very good and affordable. And we capped it off with delicious coconut gelato. Definitely worth a return trip!

We had a great dinner at La Locanda del Porto. The seafood was incredibly fresh — especially the mussels and calamari were outstanding. Beautiful presentation, quick and friendly service, and a relaxing atmosphere by the sea. If you’re in Brindisi and looking for quality dining, this place is a must-visit. Great value for money as well!

This restaurant was recommended to me three different ways, and they were all spot on. The food here was absolutely exquisite, and everything we had was just delicious. Great Puglian cuisine and Great staff. Everyone was just fantastic. I highly recommend getting a reservation.

La Locanda de Porto was so, so good. If you can make it to any restaurant in Brindisi, try this one! It’s located off of a side street and is absolutely charming. There was live, romantic music outside and delicious food, plus great service.

Steamed mussels were fantastic, as were the fried octopus balls. Only thing was that the shrimp cacio e pepe was a miss for me as I found that the sauce got very chunky very quickly. Next time I’ll go for the seafood tomato pasta or the gnocchi - they looked much better on our neighbour table
